Forexpros – Gold futures were higher in European trade on Friday.
On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for June delivery traded at USD1665.75 a troy ounce at time of writing rising 0.66%.
It earlier traded at a session high USD1668.35 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1647.05 and resistance at USD1699.55.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.37% to trade at USD79.00.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery rose 1.43% to trade at USD32.450 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery rose 0.76% to trade at USD3.825 a pound.
