Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (JEC) recently won an engineering and environmental consultant contract from the National Roads Authority of Ireland.
The tenure of the contract is two years and financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
Under the contract, Jacobs will identify and develop the design solutions for the N8/N25 Dunkettle Interchange Improvement scheme. This scheme intends to improve the free flow of traffic through the interchange on the outskirts of Cork City, by carrying out improvement works to the N8/N25 Dunkettle Interchange.
Jacobs will also assist the National Roads Authority for preparation of an environmental impact statement and put together the required documentation for the publication of statutory orders of the Interchange Improvement Scheme.
The company also received a management and software lifecycle technical support contract from Air Force Research Laboratory/ Enterprise Business System Program Office (AFRL/EBSPO) for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, Ohio.
The tenure of the contract is five years, with an estimated value of $23 million.
As per the contract, Jacobs will support continued development and sustainment of EBS applications, which provides various management capabilities to AFRL headquarters and the 10 AFRL technical directorates in the U.S.
In addition, last week, Jacobs announced the receipt of a contract from NASA for the space agency’s White Sands testing facility in Las Cruces, N.M. The company will test propulsion systems for NASA. The contract is worth $500 million, which will be fully realizable if two additional one-year extension options are exercised by NASA.
Earlier, Jacobs received yet another contract from the Irish government to study flooding patterns along the River Shannon. The financial terms of the contract remain undisclosed.
