Forexpros – Japanese retail sales rose more-than-expected last month, official data showed on Monday.
In a report, the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry said that retail sales rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.9%, from -1.1% in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from -1.2%.
Analysts had expected retail sales to rise at annual rate of 0.7% last month.
