Pending Home Sales decreased 30% to 77.6, the lowest level ever recorded,against expectations of a 9% decrease. The Pending Home Sales Index had increased 6.0% in April to an index value of 110.9, following a 7.1% increase in March. The index was 15.9% lower than May 2009, when it was at 92.3.
The ISM Manufacturing Index decreased to 56.2 in June, following a decrease to 59.7 in May from the 60.4 level in April. The index indicated growth for the 14th consecutive month in the overall economy, as well as expansion in the manufacturing sector for the 11th consecutive month.

Construction Spending
 decreased by 0.2% to $841.9 billion during May, against the expected 0.8% decrease, after rising by 2.3% in April, revised from an increase of 2.7%. Year over year, construction spending had declined by 8.0% from the May 2009 estimate of $915.4 billion.
