Initial Claims decreased to 388,000, for the week ending 03/26, higher than the expected decrease to 379,000, after increasing to 394,000, the revised level for the previous week. The 4-week moving average increased to 394,250, from the previous week’s revised average of 391,000. Seasonally adjusted insured unemployment from the prior week, ending on 03/19, was 3,714,000, a decrease of 51,000 from the preceding week’s revised level of 3,765,000. Seasonally adjusted insured unemployment rate from the week ending on 03/19, was 3.0%, unchanged from the previous week’s unrevised figure of 3.0%. Tomorrow, the monthly employment situation is scheduled for release by the Bureau of Labor Statistics at 8:30 AM EST and the unemployment rate is expected to remain unchanged at 8.9% for March from 8.9% recorded in February.
 
Factory Orders for February are scheduled for release today at 10:00 AM EST, and are expected to increase by 0.5% following the January increase of 3.1% to $445.6 billion.
