CNBC’s Maria Bartiromo has just penned a book entitled The 10 Laws of Enduring Success. “Now is the best time to writing about success,” she told Yahoo Finance – Tech Ticker. Hopefully this book marks the end of the avalanche of “end-of-the-world” books.

Bartiromo’s 10 laws – Self-Knowledge, Vision, Initiative, Courage, Integrity, Adaptability, Humility, Endurance, Purpose and Resilience – have been packaged based on her unparalleled access to leaders in business and finance (including Jack Welch, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, etc.), politics (Hillary Clinton, Condoleeza Rice, Queen Rania of Jordan), and entertainment and sports (Joe Torre, Goldie Hawn, Mary Hart).

“I reached out to many successful people and what I learned [is] they did not learn the tools for success during the peaks of their careers, they learned it during the valleys,” she says. “They learned it and they got smart and got moving during the tough times.”
