The markets moved sharply higher on a weaker dollar and solid earnings from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (NYSE:WMT) and The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE:HD) and a buyout offer for Potash Corp./Saskatchewan (USA) (NYSE:POT) for $130.00 a share. This started the markets higher and light volume continued to help. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSE:SPY) is up $1.72 to $109.98.
