Monster Worldwide Inc. (MWW) announced that Monster.com, its job matching engine and flagship brand is partnering with state and local governments to create innovative, customized solutions that will revive employment in America.

Through these public-private partnerships, Monster’s Public Sector & Education (PSE) group helps governments at the state and local levels along with education institutions to attract, develop and match their existing and emerging workforce with vital opportunities.

Monster PSE is a division of Monster Worldwide and PSE focuses on five critical areas to generate employment – talent attraction, On-line Career Communities Solutions, student recruitment, real-time labor intelligence and services.

Management stated that there is a lot of innovation underway at the local government level leading to continuous application of next-generation technology to everything from networking to workforce training. Monster aims at helping to fill the existing vacancies applying its solutions.

Management at Monster is making sincere efforts to launch innovative products and revive business. The slowdown in the global economy has significantly impacted hiring demand in the last two years. The worldwide slowdown has caused companies to reduce headcount, freeze hiring and delay recruitment-related decisions. Management has been attempting to improve its technology to enhance the experience of both job seekers and corporate clients.

Management is taking steps to revive growth but it will be some time before the business starts showing meaningful growth. Competition also continues to pace up as alternative social interaction sites such as Linkedln, Facebook and Twitter continue to gain traction and seize business.

Although the economy is showing signs of recovery, it is going to be slow and we believe that the momentum will only pick up in late 2010 to early 2011.
