Natural gas prices rose on Thursday for the first time in four days, after the EIA report for natural gas stockpiles showed a less than expected rise, noting that natural gas prices have been falling during this week on expectations of improving weather conditions in the South, which led to expectations of lower demand for power-plant fuel.

The EIA report for natural gas stockpiles showed that natural gas inventories increased by 31 billion cubic feet, compared with median estimates of  37 billion cubic feet, and the prior rise of 47 billion cubic feet.

Natural gas prices could still rise on Friday, as markets will remain focused on the inventories report, however, weather conditions will also play a role in determining the movement, but in general we expect prices to rise.
