Analysis and Recommendations:
Natural Gas is trading at 2.849 adding .25 as markets get ready for the close of the session with the 4th of July holiday. Natural Gas continues to soar on basic fundamentals of demand. In the US temperatures for the west and Midwest are unseasonably high and are expected to continue this way.
The National Weather Forecast calls for “near or above 100 Fahrenheit” in St. Louis in the next six to 10 days, as above-normal temperatures sweep across much of the Midwest and Northeast. Unseasonable high temperatures increase the need for gas-fired electricity to power air conditioning, boosting demand for natural gas. Natural gas is used for 25% of the U.S. electricity production.
