Analysis and Recommendation: (close of the Asian session)

The NZD/USD is trading at 0.7535 as the markets close for the month. The kiwi fell more than 1/2 cent after a report showed that business confidence has taken its first dip in seven months due to uncertainty about the global economy.

National Bank’s business confidence survey for this month showed 27% of respondents think business conditions will improve over the coming year, down 9 points from April. Fewer than 35% of firms think their own activity will improve, down 2 points.

Compounded by growing problems in Spain, Greece and Italy, the kiwi has been shaken over market uncertainty and the continued slowdown in China, its major trading partner.
