Pall Corp. (PLL), a leading supplier of filtration, separation and purification technologies, can now sell its Centrisep engine advanced protection system (EAPS) directly to operators of EC135/635 helicopter, manufactured by Eurocopter, without any prior clearance.
Eurocopter is a subsidiary of European Aeronautic, Defense and Space Company – (EADS [EADSY]) regarded as the top-most helicopter manufacturer in the world. The sale of environmentally friendly systems, like Centrisep EAPS, had earlier been made only through Eurocopter Germany.
The EC135 Centrisep EAPS will be displayed by Pall at the Farnborough Air Show to be held in the United Kingdom between Jul 19 and Jul 25, 2010. The Centrisep EAPS is said to require minimal maintenance, aiding the EC135 helicopters, primarily used by police and helicopter emergency medical services worldwide, to provide efficient services.
Apart from being fitted in the new EC135/635 helicopters, these protection systems can be simply fitted on the existing helicopters as well, providing a customized filtration to the users. The system increases the efficiency of the helicopters by providing a secure, reliable and readily available means of transport.
Pall Corp. is considered to be the largest player in the filtration/separations industry based on its revenue and approximately 7% market share. In the long run, Pall will likely benefit from several secular trends, such as global infrastructure growth, increasing demand for water filtration systems and continued steady growth in medical and pharmaceutical markets. The company generated total revenue of $2.3 billion in fiscal year 2009.
