Progress Energy Inc. was one of the latest stocks to have a flash decline intra-day despite the new circuit breaker that has been put in place. By the look of the chart it does not look as if the circuit breaker worked properly after a flash decline. Many traders and investors are now wondering if this type of action in individual stocks is going to become more common as it seems every week a new stock seems to crash intra-day.
