I came across the chart below from the Daily Speculations blog and thought it might be visually helpful in explaining the concept of alkalizing and how it potentially relates to the types of foods you might be consuming. I’ve mentioned on this blog before that I defeated heartburn that has persisted over the past decade through a number of changes in my diet. While I can’t put my finger on the exact reason as to why I haven’t experienced a single bout of heartburn in almost two months, I believe a big reason lies in how I try to neutralize the amount of acid in my body, combined with consuming less meat overall, and when I do it has to be hormone free or halal.
