Pitney Bowes Inc. (PBI) will be presenting its improved printing system, Pitney Bowes® IntelliJet™ 30 Printing System, at the 2010 Graph Expo exhibition and conference. The company continues to develop the system, with a target to achieve 300% more productivity than the traditional systems by 2011. The enhanced system is expected to be available with an option of 600 feet per minute print speed and a new 20.5-inch Web format.

Pitney Bowes IntelliJet™ 30 Printing System is the first printing system in the market that provides a flawless combination of color printing and mailing process. This simplifies the work of individuals, who need to send a large number of transactional mails, with a better customer communication facility.

The IntelliJet™ line of printing systems was first launched by Pitney Bowes in 2009 and since then Hewlett-Packard Company (HPQ) has been in collaboration with Pitney for the system. Hewlett-Packard is a leader in inkjet printing technology. The company has started taking orders of the 30” wide new system, with a printing speed of 400 feet per minute, and delivery is expected to start by the beginning of late 2010.

The company is a leading supplier of products and services in most of its business segments. Its meter base and its ability to place and finance meters in key markets contribute significantly to its revenues and profitability.

However, all segments face competition from a number of companies. We believe that its long experience and reputation for product quality, as well as its sales and support service organizations, are important factors in influencing customer choices with respect to its products and services.

Significant investment in research and development operations differentiates it from its competitors. The company has many research and development programs that are directed toward developing new products and service offerings. As a result of these efforts, it has been awarded a number of patents for its existing and planned products. However, its businesses do not depend on any one patent, any group of related patents, any one license or any group of related licenses. The company continues to invest in future growth by delivering new products and solutions.
