“Often a moment of crises, no matter how small, is exactly the point at which we begin to see things in a new way. Something is lost, but new possibilities appear. As we being to move through such a period of intensity, we’re more open to change, especially if the crisis forces us to see that what we’ve been doing, or how we’ve been seeing things, no longer works. Through the crisis and because of it, we can accept information we might have been ignoring, avoiding, or simply not seeing. We’re surprised to find that we can now deal with situations, people, or events that once seemed impossible. The crises doesn’t have to be a national or global event; it can be quite personal and internal. It turns out that crises can be — and often is — a positive change agent.”

“Thresholds of the Mind” ~Bill Harris

Anybody else see why I chose to share this particular passage from this book I’m currently reading? There is always a light at the end of the tunnel, and often that light is positive change.
