Pending Home Sales increased 5.2% to 79.4, against expectations of a 1.2% decline. The Pending Home Sales Index had decreased 2.6% in June to an index value of 75.7, following a 30% increase in May. The index was 19.1% lower than July 2009, when it was at 98.1.
