New Home Sales for August were unchanged at a 288,000 annual pace, following a 288,000 pace in July, revised upwards from 276,000. Over the year New Home Sales are down 28.9% from 405,000 in August of 2009. The median sales price was $204,700 and the average sales price was $248,800. The estimate of new houses for sale at the end of August was 206,000, representing a supply of 8.6 months at the current sales rate.
