The ISM Services Index decreased to 51.5 in August, lower than the expected level of 53.2, after increasing to 54.3 in July and decreasing to 53.8 in June. The index’s complement, the ISM Manufacturing Index increased to 56.3 on Wednesday’s release after decreasing to 55.5 in July.
