Other Asian stock markets were mostly higher on Monday, but gains were modest. Investors will be watching the Fed’s policy statement on Tuesday. The central bank is widely expected to leave rates unchanged near zero, and retain its commitment to leave rates on hold for a while.

  2. Hong Kong shares ended lower for a second straight session on Monday, dragged down by weak mainland shares. China Shenhua Energy retreated after reporting a quarterly profit that was below expectations.

In Summary,

Market finished lower after 5 consecutive of up days upon facing the challenge at 2900 resistance, and on cue of Hong Kong’s loss on weak mainland shares. High chance that we will see market consolidates from here before re-exerting strength to challenge 3000 level.
