Corporate Announcements 

Yanlord signed a 3-year syndicated term loan of US$400m – the largest syndicated loan to date for a non-state-owned PRC property developer – to fund its expansion initiatives and working capital purposes. The loan is also to refinance the outstanding amount of the US$200m loan dated 7 Nov 2007.

News Updates:

  1.  HSBC Holding HBC is planning to list on the Shanghai stock exchange with a GBP5 billion share offer to Chinese investors, the Observer said Sunday.

  2. Terra Firma Capital Corp is set to inject millions of pounds into troubled music group EMI Group PLC to avoid breaching covenants and losing control to Citigroup, The Sunday Telegraph said.

  3. International bankers are scheduled to meet on Monday with Dubai officials to discuss Dubai World’s effort to reach a standstill agreement on its billions of dollars of debt.

  4. Japan’s exports fell 6.2% in November from a year earlier, Ministry of Finance data showed on Monday, slightly less than economists’ median forecast for a 6.5% fall. Japan’s November trade surplus widens to $4.14 billion; November imports down 16.8% from year ago.
