Forexpros – Retail sales in South Africa rose unexpectedly last month, official data showed on Wednesday.
In a report, Statistics South Africa Head Office said that South African Retail Sales rose to 8.30%, from 7.10% in the preceding month whose figure was revised up from 6.40%.
Analysts had expected South African Retail Sales to fall to 4.70% last month.
