Brookemont Capital Inc. (CVE:BKT) (PINK:BKTPF) stock price shot up after the company said they are ready to progress with exploration on one of their properties.
BKT stock price surged up 15% on Wednesday accompanied by a trading volume of 1.7 million, which was nearly 5 times larger than the three month average of 357 thousand. The price spike was large enough to have a bullish echo the next day.
The bullish mood was set by an update from Brookement issued on the same day, December 28. The company announced that their operator advised that a drilling program is now underway to test the arsenic geochemical soil sampling anomaly on Handeni North Gold Prospect.
1.5 thousand to 2 thousand meters will be drilled during the first phase along the main body of this anomaly. Previous testing had found gold flakes in this system thus it is an attractive target both for the company and investors. On the more cynical side, the source of gold was local and further testing on the property might not provide consistent results.
Brookemont is currently involved with three more projects in Yukon, Quebec and Tanzania.
