Tetra Tech, Inc. (TTEK) announced that it has been awarded a $40 million contract to design and build a 152-megawatt (MW) wind farm outside of Woodward, Oklahoma.
Tech will provide engineering-procurement-construction (EPC) services to CPV Keenan II Renewable Energy Company, LLC for the Keenan II Wind Farm. Tetra Tech previously completed the upfront environmental and permitting work for this project.
Siemens will furnish and erect 66 2.3-MW turbines for the Keenan II Wind Farm. Tetra Tech is responsible for all other aspects of the wind farm design and construction, including electrical collection, transmission lines, grid connection, and wind turbine foundations.
The company also recently figured as one of five firms that were collectively awarded a $750 million contract to provide design-build services for large construction projects for the U.S. Navy. The majority of the work would be performed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
The period of performance for this firm fixed-price contract is one base year with four one-year options, and the five awardees will share the total contract value. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington anticipates that this contract would be used for construction projects ranging in size from approximately $10 million to $30 million per task order.
