Textron Inc.’s (TXT) subsidiary Textron Systems has been awarded a U.S. Army contract for software development, training and support for the future intelligence framework. This Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract has been awarded by the U.S. Army Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors (IEW&S) Program Executive Office (PEO) for a maximum amount of $48.5 million over a period of five years.
Textron Systems’ operating unit Overwatch will supervise work on the contract. Overwatch is the leading provider of integrated intelligence software solutions and services as well as robust satellite communications systems for defense and intelligence communities.
