The market churned higher all day, closing once again closing on multi-year highs (I feel like a broken record). Stocks shook off a slightly down open after mildly disappointing jobless claims data, and were boosted by an extremely robust Philadelphia survey at 10am.

Oil had another strong day led by the Oil Service HOLDRs ETF (OIH), which jumped more than 2%. Silver also broke out with authority today, continuing to outperform gold. The iShares Silver Trust ETF (SLV) surged 3.5%.

Today, instead of a traditional Daily Recap video, Scott Redler of T3Live.com followed up today on his CNBC appearance where he discussed Apple Inc. (AAPL). Apple is an oft-covered stock, from new products to Steve Jobs’ health, and has traded well technically over the past several years.
