This is what we anticipate the market trading like this year–lots of trades from both directions and in different sectors. There will be a lot of rotation, a lot of jumping around. While last year saw panic induced selling and the subsequent huge rally, where all stocks essentially traded in unison, this year will be much more stock-specific and multi-faceted.
Google (GOOG) the last couple of weeks is a case in point example of this phenomenon. We had a great long trade through $600 and a nice short on the trendline break through $620-622. After the steep sell-off, today we got an excellent long trade on the move through, and back above yesterday’s lows.
