The fund invests in a diversified portfolio of US and foreign equities, primarily large capitalization stocks of major developed countries. It utilizes a globally integrated investment process intended to uncover undervalued markets, currencies, sectors and securities.
Nicholas Melhuish has been lead manager at the fund since January 2008. The fund has an expense ratio of 1.25%.
UBS PACE Government Securities Fixed Income A (PFXAX) seeks current income. The fund primarily invests in government fixed income securities.
While it can invest in US government and other bonds of varying maturities, the fund normally limits portfolio “duration” within two years of the effective duration of its benchmark index. As of January 2009, its portfolio turnover was 970%.
