Content focused design with the introduction of a site “Feature Bar” provides easy one-click access to users for the most popular attributes of the community. The Feature bar may be scrolled left or right to access popular features.
New Content Rating System to Designate ‘Best Answer’
Adopted a 5-star rating system to permit members to rate commentary, articles, videos and other member’s responses to commentary or within the Questions & Answers forum. Collective ratings are used to rank Search queries on a hierarchy to help the member determine the best rated content by the community.
New Categories and Tag (Keywords) Drop-Down Lists
(Permissioned for Contributors Only)
When posting new commentaries, articles and videos, contributors may now select keywords to categorize their content for TraderPlanet from a Master list. Assigning tags (keywords) will propagate content contributions to other applicable areas of the site.
New ‘How To’ Video Tutorials for Popular Features on TraderPlanet.com
New video tutorials recorded by TraderPlanet staff members show users step-by-step, how to:
- Join as a New Member
- Login/Logout
- Use the Presence Bar
- Conduct Site, Trader and Company Searches
- How to Communicate With Other Members
- How to Rate Content
- Contributors: How to Post/Edit Content
- Contributors: How to Syndicate Commentary

Re-Designed Online Chat. Direct Connect with TraderPlanet Admin
Note: Look for this feature on the Presence Bar (charcoal gray bar at bottom of screen), right side
Online Chat permits members to connect with other members and participate in an “instant message” dialogue real-time. Members may send chat requests to online members or chat invitations to offline members. Once chat invitations are accepted, those members are automatically placed on the ‘Chat Contacts’ list. As Chat Contacts login to the site, they will appear within the Chat window.
Chat also now supports a direct online chat link with TraderPlanet Admin while Admin is online. The Admin chat connection is auto enabled for all members.
Event Calendar Support for Premium Events
The TraderPlanet Event Calendar now supports listings for premium (registration fee) events and will navigate members to the applicable site to register.
We’ve also re-arranged the layout for Event listings to make them more concise.
