The focus of this release was a complete re-design of the backend functionality for the “Broker Battle” program, set to launch in January 2012, but there are a few other cool things we have worked on that members and contributors will find interesting.
RSS Syndication Support for Videos (Youtube Channels)
TraderPlanet is now supporting syndication of videos via RSS feed. Contributors to follow same process as that for commentary RSS syndication.
Customizable Content for Members (My TraderPlanet)
Based on the “Market Interests” selections under the Member’s ‘Edit Profile’ settings (‘My Planet’, then ‘Edit Profile’ on the Presence Bar), TraderPlanet now serves filtered commentary, articles and videos on the member’s profile view. This functionality will be expanded in an upcoming release to permit members to specify which contributors’ content they wish to follow.
Broker Battle Program Re-Design
A fresh new look and feel for the Broker Battle program to support member and visitor voting for the 2012 cycle (official program launch). TraderPlanet is currently accepting nominations from prospective contenders (brokerage firms). Go to nomination form.
Twitter Feed Display, Commentaries Section
Displaying tweets from TraderPlanet’s Twitter Channel on the right sidebar of Commentaries section. Members are invited to subscribe to our Twitter Channel.
