For those that still believe in the power of technical analysis the TrendX suite is just about ready. We now have a combination of 3 indicators and 2 strategies that work in sync in provide trading signals on a small basket of ETFs that can be traded as equities or options. Positions are never held more than 10 days. As expected, one of the focus ETFs is GDX and the current GDX situation is shown above. Stretching to the downside we are currently short GDX looking a quick cover if the technicals turn positive. Note that current momentum on GDX has not turned negative (last 4 days on chart price bars) although price has declined. Holding the reins tight on this trade as a result.
