The chart below of the Russell 2000 Index, IVW is a good example. The chart shows the Russell 2000, IVW with the 20 day highs and lows drawn. Currently, the lowest low is the pivot low of March 22. In a worst case scenario, the exit today would be the March 22 channel low and if the IVW, Russell 2000 keeps rising, a trader just rides the trend. Don’t worry about earnings, deficits, sovereign debt problems, health care, financial reform or the story of the day. Just stay with the Trend and your trading plan.
