“Every morning in Africa a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesnt’ matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you better start running.”

African proverb

I purchased The Complete TurtleTrader by Michael W. Covel tonight and the first thing you read when you open the cover is this quote. It’s a great phrase that makes me think of The Lion King, and can be applied to many aspects of life. My wife is a runner and she first read this quote to me a month or so ago when she read it in a running magazine. I hope all of you find as much inspiration in these words as she does.
