Forex Pros – U.S. stocks were up after the closing bell on Friday.
At the close of U.S. trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.36%, the S&P 500 index gained 0.55%, while the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 0.63%.
Earlier in the day, official data showed that The U.S. trade balance fell less-than-expected to a seasonally adjusted -40.60B last month from -38.30B in the preceding month.
Analysts had expected U.S. trade balance to fall -40.70B last month.
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, European stock markets were mixed at close. France’s CAC 40 was up 0.15%; Germany’s DAX gained 0.42%; Britain’s FTSE 100 climbed 0.71%; and the EURO STOXX 50 fell 0.04%.
