Varian Medical Systems (VAR), a leading vendor of digital X-Ray detectors as well as X-Ray tubes, is demonstrating a broad line-up of its products, including the PaxScan range of digital X-Ray image detectors, at the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) in Shenyang City, China , during October 12 to 15, 2010.
According to the company, it has increased its inventory as well as its product support mechanism at the Beijing unit. As a result, Varian now has the capability to offer a wide variety of both X-Ray tubes and digital image detectors in the Chinese and regional markets.
Varian’s booth in Shenyang City showcases a number of X-Ray tubes and PaxScan flat panel detectors. Its exhibits include the PaxScan 4343R, a 43 cm by 43 cm detector, which is the company’s biggest panel appropriate for wide viewing. This product is designed for long-term placement on radiographic tables. The company is also displaying its PaxScan 3030+, which is a 30 cm by 30 cm multi-functionality detector with fluoroscopic ability. It has applications in surgical, interventional and cone beam computed axial tomography or CT medical imaging.
Varian’s X-Ray Products segment is a distinct business unit, set apart from its oncology products segment. The company offers over 400 categories of medical and industrial X-Ray tubes, besides its PaxScan series of silicon flat-panel X-Ray image detectors for digital radiography or imaging without using films. This strategic business segment has its manufacturing headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah with sales centers in Beijing; Willich, Germany and Charleston, South Carolina.
