5WMNS-logo.pngNot all promotions achieve their goals, especially when they focus on Westmont Resources, Inc. (PINK:WMNS). Nevertheless, the promotional wave continues and who knows – it might do something good to at least stop this free fall that the stock experiences for quite some time now.
In all fairness, there is some impact on the stock market, although not the one paying parties and traders hoped for. It was actually yesterday that one could notice that impact, even though the promotional campaign started in the middle of February and more than 10 promotions have been made since then. This Tuesday, however, at least some trading activity took place, as more than 1 million shares changed hands. Yet, this did little to help the price escape from the patter of decrease. The daily session opened at $0.17 and closed at $0.14 per share. WMNS-23.02.11.png
For those who are not familiar with Westmont and its stock, there are several facts that should be mentioned. First of all, what happened yesterday can actually be referred to as a cooldown in terms of price movement. Just two months ago, in December, Westmont traded close to $10 per share. It is quite an accomplishment to get the stock from that value to the present $0.14, and there are naturally reasons for this crash on the market.
One reason is the financial situation, another one is the fact that six years have passed already and there are still no significant results to inspire confidence in investors. If you have read the promotions, you would also notice that hopes are associated with the current situation in Egypt and its implications that it creates a niche opportunity for companies like Westmont on the oil market. Quite an arguable statement, and not the right one to address traders as the market shows. [BANNER]
The above, however, doesn`t mean that the company is doomed. Westmont is a natural resource and development enterprise, which has some properties, the acquisition of the latest one was actually announced yesterday. In this aspect, there is some ground for development, and there is still time to prove to the general public that there are profits to be made if you stick with it.
So keep an eye on it, as your shares could be worth a lot more in some time. But not today and not tomorrow. It should be clear by now that it is not promotions that can help Westmont reverse the negative trend.
