There are more IPO’s coming besides just Facebook and Yelp, there are 160 companies in the IPO pipeline, according to a PricewaterhouseCoopers report.
While internet companies get a majority of news, there are other companies coming public in the near future. The information that these new companies give us allows for a fresh view of where the economy is headed.
I found a few interesting companies that should come public in the next year. Here are two that are not internet companies. Silver Spring Networks, a smart grid networking platform developer from Redwood City CA. Another lesser hyped issue is GCT Semiconductor is a mobile semiconductor chip-maker.
ChemoCentryx is a pharmaceutical company from Mountain View CA that filed its S-1 in October and is also expected to come public in 2012. Ambarella is chip company that handles video image processing. Guidewire Software provides software for the insurance industry.
The question that I have is which IPO do you think will outperform the broader market and why? Let’s just take Facebook out of the equation for this dicussion and there is no point to just haveing everyone reply with Facebook.
Let’s hear what you have to say!
