While we have Rosie on the line, the former Chief Economist of Merrill Lynch was notoriously bearish during the surge in housing after 2004 and all the way through to the credit crisis and market crash. According to Barry Ritholtz (The Big Picture), this is what David famously said: “There was a huge price to be paid for being bearish when there was a bull on your business card, trust me on that one.”
