“In like a lion, out like a lamb” is a proverb describing the month of March. The month of March usually starts with cold, unpleasant weather, but ends mild and pleasant. Seasonality in equity markets during the eighth year of a Presidential term had led me to expect quite the opposite but it now appears equity markets may more closely resemble weather expectations.  My Hybrid Lindsay forecast for a high today (or very close to it) is outlined below.

Middle Sections

Point C of a flattened top can be found on 5/10/07. It counts 1,608 days to the low of the current Basic Cycle on 10/4/11. 1,609 days later is today, Monday February 29.

The high of a flattened top is found on 3/12/02. It counts 2,551 days to the low of the Multiple Cycle on 3/6/09. 2,551 days later forecasts a high today, Monday February 29.

Cycles

A 15wk cycle high was due the week of Feb 8. If the high came last week this makes the second cycle high in a row in which it stretched to 16 weeks. Last Friday was an expected micro-cycle high.

Lindsay Intervals

A 107-day interval (102-112 days) counts 105 days from the low on 11/13/15 to last Friday’s intra-day high.
