In My Fair Lady, Professor Henry Higgins laments “Why Can’t A Woman Be More Like A Man?” In his mind, since men are obviously superior, women would better themselves by adopting male attributes. From what I can tell, Michael Kurtz, a Macquarie analyst writing in the Wall Street Journal, is making the same argument, substituting China for the annoying, weak woman and the West for the obviously superior man.
