The S&P 500 Composite Index (SPX) rose to a new high, thereby reconfirming its preexisting systematically bullish trend.

NYSE total volume fell 3% to a level 3% below its 200-day SMA. Generally, rising volume confirms the direction (up or down) of a price move, but falling volume may indicate diminishing power behind a price trend, which can suggest a price reversal ahead.
