Consumer Confidence figures are expected today at 10:00 AM. Consumer Confidence had decreased to 52.5 in December from 54.3 in November. The Present Situation Index decreased to 23.5 and the Expectations Index decreased to 71.9. Consumers’ appraisal of current market conditions was slightly more pessimistic and the short-term outlook was slightly less optimistic than in November.
