It was a quiet night for financial news.Talks for the IDM/Sun deal are bogging down, and there are no real economic releases due today.Q2 earnings season starts this week; the biggest economic release is Wednesday’s release of the minutes of the last FOMC meeting. The White Sox home opener was pushed back to tomorrow because of snow.
June S&P:It’s a momentum sell short day; it’s coming down to support at 830.50.
June NASDAQ:Sell short day; 1281 to 1280 is support.
June Dow:Breakout setup; 7880 is support.
June Treasury Bonds:Momentum buy day; support is 12624.5; 12711 is first resistance.
June Euro Currency:Momentum sell short day.
June Canadian Dollar:Momentum sell short day; 8077 and 8064 are support.
June Gold:Broke under the last low at 885; there’s not much support down here. Be alert for a reversal back through there, though.
May Silver:Breakout sale; 1250 was support.
May Sugar:Testing the last swing low/double bottom at 1242.
May Coffee:Momentum sell short day; 117 is support, 119 is resistance.
May Cotton:Still going! 4810 is the next Fibonacci retracement resistance.
May Crude Oil:Doji Friday, directional move today. 5136 is first support, then 5100.
May Wheat:578-2 is a Fibonacci retracement objective.
May Corn:Inside/Narrow Range breakout setup; watch Friday’s high at 407-4.
May Soymeal:Testing the last swing high at 308.80.
