Why doesn’t the media get it. It doesn’t matter if the markets are going up or going down, it’s just a trend and there shouldn’t be adjectives attached to them. And yet they’re bent on describing each market downturn as being scary, relentless, and fearful. However when the markets are moving higher everybody is positive, cheerful, and exuberant. I really find the way the media portrays a simple event as a down day on the market as being compared to disastrous. In my view they add to the investor “fear factor”, stirring up the lemming mentality. What’s really disturbing, is that I believe this is done on purpose.

Started covering a few shorts(about 25%), but still see more downside.  I don’t want to get greedy and I think there will be more opportunities to short if the market bounces tomorrow.
