Breakout

Market price changes to move beyond a previously identified support and resistance level.

Broken Date

Describes a transaction date in a forward or money market contract that is outside of the standard maturity date. 

Bull

Is an optimistic sentiment by an investor which subscribes to the belief that the financial markets (or any asset therein) will rise in value.

Bull Correction

A short-lived price retracement in a market that is rising.

Bull Flag

A price chart pattern that occurs within an uptrend that produces a uniform price decline of lower tops and lower bottoms.

Bullish Divergence

Occurring within an uptrend, when two technical indicators move in opposition to each other, signaling a near term change in trend.

Bullish Engulfing Pattern

A Candlestick price chart pattern where a small black candlestick is followed by a large white candlestick that engulfs the candlestick bar preceding it.

Bund

The German term for "bond", this is a debt instrument issued by Germany’s federal government that are similar to U.S. treasuries.

Bust

The opposite of "Boom", this is a period of time where economic growth declines rapidly. 

Buy Limit Order

An order to purchase a security at or below a specified price. The trader/investor specifies the price that they are willing to pay for a security, which guarantees that they will pay that price or better (less). If the specified price is not reached, the order will not be filled.
